My Personal Relationship With Hawaii.
It seems most everyone instantly recognizes the captivating connection to life that can be found throughout Hawai’i. I believe there’s no other place on earth quite like it.
Hawai’i has always been a place I feel the most spiritual and alive. The islands have the ability to recharge my soul. The touchstones for me are to be found everywhere in Hawai’i. I love the moana (ocean) surrounding the islands. I love the sunrises and sunsets over salty waters teaming with life, rich volcanic mountaintops flowing with a never-ending cycle of fresh water, and the locals striving to protect that entire process with love and respect. That’s “Aloha”.
Being there is to see the universe in a microcosm. It’s like, when gazing at the stars, you have the sense of feeling small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. During those times on the islands, I’m inspired, and I feel like an important element of all of life; the earth, our collective home. I feel as one with literally everything. It inspires me to reach out to others to share and appreciate our similarities; to realize what is truly important, and let go of the differences we’ve so focused on, in recent years. When I’m in the islands, I literally feel the sense of being plugged into the universe. Over the centuries, scores of foreigners have sought to conquer this magical land and its people. Yet, through every attempt, the gentle yet powerful spirit of “Aloha” has ultimately prevailed.
The Hawai’ian islands are stunningly beautiful and highly coveted places to visit, in every season. Their distinct geographical diversities offer something for every taste, and each island offers something unique. There are endless things to do, see, and enjoy.
The focus of iTravel.earth is not merely travel planning, but also to share what I love so much. My Instagram feed is a revolving scrapbook of many places on earth to which I’ve traveled. Hawai’i is one of my all-time favorite destinations, and I can’t wait to return again and again.
