Of all the ways to get to the Islands of Hawai’I or the South Pacific, traveling by cruise ship has its unique set of advantages.
You will have the opportunity to see many different places in one sailing. With the stop in each port, you will have enough time to sample that destination.
It’s actually a lot of fun to experience each port without having to arrange for your own transportation. It’s as simple as it could possible be! The cruise company will arrange for every detail.
You may not believe me, at first, when I say cruises are a great deal! But if you take into consideration accommodations, food, entertainment, and drinks. Even considering the class of service you feel comfortable with, cruising, makes a great deal of sense. Anyone who’s spent any time Hawaii can tell you it can be a costly destination. If you believe cruising is your thing, comparing apples to apples, a cruise to Hawaii or South Pacific regions can be a no brainer.
On cruise ships you don’t have to pack and unpack for every destination. So leave those clothes you don’t need, the jewelry, your collection of sunglasses, and the tuxedo behind (send clothes out for cleaning and a press while your off the ship!)Cruise ships can be downright relaxing if you’re into that sort of thing. After leaving port visit the spa, go to an entertaining show, or specialty dinner. You’ll be on your way to the next port without even realizing it!
Today’s cruise ships offer one of my very favorite things, immersion. How about taking an excursion to a private home for a tour, dinner, cooking lessons, or an informative talk? How about having a special guest chef board the ship for teaching or tasting? It is now commonplace to arrange for these types of experiences on premium, new premium, upper premium, and luxury cruise ships.
Saying the words “cruise ship food” can immediately bring to mind “the all-you-can eat buffet”. Images of food binging and weight gain almost always come to mind when friends hear you are planning a cruise adventure. Yes, one can still indulge to their hearts desire but there are other offerings for the more sophisticated palates as well. There are spectacular wine pairings and themed meals served with all the elegance and refinement of the fanciest of clubs and restaurants. You have choices. Except for special cases it’s all included in one fare.
The fellow travelers you meet on a cruise ship may very well end up friends for life. Additionally, you just may find yourself planning a future cruise together with people you’ve only just met! It happens.
Safety is a major concern on cruise ships. Living in a pandemic weary world cruise ship companies are overly cautious when it comes to health and safety issues. Consider the millions of people that travel with cruises each year. I don’t believe that cruise companies would gamble with the lives of it’s guests for a profit. These companies depend upon their excellent reputations to attract new business each year. They have a strong desire to see each passenger become a lifelong customer. I recently took a cruise (late summer of 2021) and I can say that I’ve never felt safer on a ship.
